I have a ton of updates and pictures, but I can't find my connector card to upload the photos! But I'm still looking!
We redid our front flower beds and the backyard is coming together - we have one fence up and the shed dug out to get ready for concrete! We tore the shrubs out of the front yard and tore down the red brick retaining walls that were in the flowerbeds and replaced them with nice tan/grey brick - it looks like it's always been there - and planted a burning bush, a pink rose, columbine - different shades of purples, yellow margueritte daisies and blue and white delphinium. I also planted some yellow columbine on the other side, planted a hanging basket with yellow petunias and white alyssum (they smell so yummy!), a bucket that sits in my outhouse with yellow and white pansies and then we have yellow snapdragons and dark purple petunias to go around the tree. Oh and the kids gave me pink and red geraniums that sit in cute planters - a big blue and green spotted teacup and an old white crock pot . We are very happy with the results!
The kids are almost out of school - 3 days this week left!!! We can hardly wait! We will have a week just to chill together then Craig is going to IDFY camp for 6 days, Ryan starts his job on the 9th and Courtney starts the week after school gets out. We have lots of projects besides the yard planned - dig out Joslyn's room, plant the garden (hopefully next weekend!), make some quilts, 96-hour kits, and just RELAX!
