Good Luck

Ryan's orthodontist office has an incentive program - get A's on your check-ups each quarter and they'll enter you into win a game system. Ryan won a Wii yesterday! How awesome is that?!?! He gets to pick it up next Tuesday and have his picture in the newspaper.

Summer has begun!

Well it's official, summer has begun. We are completely done with school - all of the report cards are in! Ryan finished strong - 5 A's and 1 B (Biology). Courtney has 7 straight A's! Joslyn has a little bit of each - 3 Outstandings, 3 Goods and 1 Satisfactory. Chad had all +'s and 3 - 3 -'s. ( I can't wait until we get to letter grades!) 3's and +'s are like A's or so they tell me!
Craig, Ryan and Courtney are all at Grand Targhee ski resort this week for a Idaho Drug-Free Youth camp. Craig is a counselor and the kids are unwilling participants!
Ryan is also going to Cedar Badge in another week - the 15th - 21st, at all most the same place, Treasure Mountain Camp near Driggs, at the base of the Grand Teton mountains.
The state high school rodeo finals are in town next week and Joslyn and I can hardly wait! (Mostly Joslyn) She is going to have her fill of horses this month! She saw one and got to pet it, it was a dream come true, especially considering the horse's name - Dreamer.
The 31st and the 1st our ward youth picked Dyer's Waod, a noxious weed, as a fundraiser for Girl's Camp and Scout Camp. We earned $1,643.00! They pay 20 cents a pound! It has been raining quite a bit and they came up pretty good, but we were covered in mud and all wet, Joslyn and Chad especially, it was as tall as them and they ran thru the "yellow forest" non-stop for 3 hours! We made them strip at the van and I had to wash everyone's clothes twice and rinse even more because of all the dirt! But it was nice to do a service project and even nicer that I won't have to write out a check for either camp!

Look at this beautiful hanging flower basket my sister-in-law, Sharlene gave me for Mother's Day!
The flowers are on their second blooming.
It hangs right out my back door, so I can see it everytime I walk into the diningroom!
This is the poster Courtney did for her last big book report.
The white cards with red tassles come out and have the characters from
"Looking Glass Wars" that coordinate with the ones from "Alice in Wonderland".
We stayed up until midnight getting this done.
She got double points for being the first one to turn hers in.
The white paper being held back by red ribbon unfolds and shows how card soldiers come to life
and the paper with gold buttons that lkook loike doors hold the story, author information and a timeline.
Around the edge it says "Off with their heads" in red.
