Our New House

here is our new house!

and the other half of it!

the upstairs bathroom - the shower has doors on it so no more shower curtain - the border might come down - i don't really think it looks good in the bathroom

the view from the front door into the diningroom - the frontroom is off to the right and Chad's room, the computer room and our room are down the hall to the left. The frontroom has carpet and hardwood floors. the hallway is hardwood floors, the three bedroom upstairs have a dark green carpet. The kitchen has 18' tile and so does the bathroom - it's done in a cream color.

looking out the sliding glass door on to the deck. The sliding glass door is going to be replaced with french doors with a white grill pattern to match the rest of the windows.

storage in the upstairs hallway - i love old houses - they have such character!
this house was built in 1958

here is Ryan's room - it's completely done in the wooden walls - it's not paneling - but tongue and groove knotty pine - but without the shallac!

this is the girl's room - it was white walls before and ugly orange-brown carpet, it's being redone in a varigated truffle based carpet - kind of light brown with green and blues mixed in. The baseboards - you can see one down on the left will be put in after the carpet and a wooden border about 2 1/2 inches wide with a vine pattern carved in to will be painted a cute light green - "secret garden" - it's called, will go between the two colors - it look kind of pink in these pictures, but it's two shades of lavendar

all along the hallway downstairs are shelves behind these blue and white striped curtains - very nice storage!

here is Chad's room - going to be painted dark blue on the bottom and white on the top with a sports theme border around the middle
