The Ockerman Family
We had a busy couple of days with Ryan's birthday - the 19th - the plan was to borrow the lightbox projector (?) from the Guard and show a movie outside on a king size sheet, but the weather decided to not cooperate and it rained cats and dogs about 20 minutes before the party was suppossed to start (9:30 p.m.). So we moved it inside and stripped one wall of any curtains or decorations and hung the sheet up there. 75% of the people invited, showed up and with my kids and 2 cousins we had 33 people in my dinigroom and frontroom to watch "Suits on the Loose"! We had a great time and lots of fun! We received a call that night in the middle of the movie from Craig's brother, teeling us that he was a grandpa! His daughter, Rachelle, had just delivered a healthy, but small, 5 lbs. 14 ozs. 19" long baby boy, Kameron Michael McKay. The next day we went to help with the library program in town and then swimming at Downata Hot Springs, then home to turn on the irrigation in the pasture. Friday we went to Idaho Falls arounf 11:30 a.m. to help Craig's brother, Kevin, unload a trailer, because they are moving there and I had 2 of his kids. Then we went over to see the new baby and then down to Tremonton, to deliver Dean's boys and Michelle's son, Alex to her for a weeek or two. We got home that night around 11:30 p.m.! Saturday wasn't too busy, we went to Logan to see "Pirates of the Caribbean 2", it was okay, not as great as we thought it would be though. Ryan was ordained a teacher today - Sunday. My mom made the 7 hour trip up to see it. He was immediately invited to go on a teacher's camping trip in Wyoming! And if he goes to his cousin's for a week right after that, he will be busy until school starts!

The Ockerman Family
Well Ryan's off to scout camp, and it's amazing how quiet the house is! He also received his "mission call" from the stake. They are training to be missionaries for 3 monthes! He was called to Seoul, South Korea! He has to learn some Korean and things about his country! We're lucky though, his Aunt Benn, has a friend over there serving in the Air Force that we can contact. It was so exciting and nerve-racking! I don't know what I'm going to do in 5 years when the real thing comes along!
Our garden is starting to blossom! Big yellow ones on the squash and dainty white ones on the peas. I wish I was a better gardener, but I just don't love the digging around in the dirt that much!
